Bold

It's ok to be bold sometimes.  In fact, sometimes in life, it's a requirement.  The call to be bold may come from nature...

Copper Leaves

Boldness could be prompted by a social or cultural movement.  Asheville NC has been the center of such things for well over a century.

Biltmore November

The need to be bold often comes from inside of us, pushed to the surface by neccessity.

Guinevere Before Camelot---Bracelet

The portrayal of Guievere in the film "King Arthur" (2004) haunted me for weeks after I saw it.  To say the least, she is portrayed as very BOLD and I could not get it out of my mind until I made a tribute to her.

Bold may not be for everybody; it may not be appropriate all the time; but certainly it is inspiring, and everyone aspires to it at least once in their lives, even if it lives only in our hearts...

California Arts and Crafts

The Arts and Crafts Movement flourished in a unique regional variant in California from about 1895 to 1930.  Predominant themes were garden and interior designs; architecture; tiles; pottery. Predominat differences that made California unique, aside from the standard Arts and Crafts movement, were Spanish and Asian influence.  The movement flourished in both Northern and Southern California, particulary in Pasadena and Berkley.

Sunflowers

I  am inspired by sunflowers.  I take lots of pictures of them every year.  I love how they look, and they make me feel HAPPY.

I had an idea in my head for weeks, not sure how it was going to work out.  But once I started, these earrrings and this pendant practically created themselves.

Honestly, whats not to love?

I used Czech glass and antique brass wire for the beadwork.  Interspaced with smokey topaz crystals and antique brass forged oval rings.

The pendant is  high quality laser-cut acrylic, with an attached charm

I try to make my jewelery durable enough to withstand everyday life.  But the bead-work on these pieces, particularly the necklace is delicate.  I can't recommend holding infants or chasing toddlers or anything too strenuous while wearing it.

Fun And Feminine

I often have different projects in various stages of production at the same time.  And sometimes when that need to create hits me like a hurricane, I just have to go where the heart leads.  I took a little break from my autumn creations to put together some items that will look good with jeans, a dress, or a suit.

Have I mentioned my love affair with antique brass?  It makes everything it touches look good!

Trio of antique brass earrings

Lavender Ice Earrings

Lavender and Purple Czech glass mix yielded these.  With crystal dangles and lever backs.

Venus Goddess of Love

I love these tiny blue and green globes with the oval link and the triangular pearls.  The pearls have a very subtle green sheen to them.  If you hang around here long, you might learn that blue and green are my favorite colors, and I love to put them together.

Blue Danube Czech Glass

It would be a difficult choice to pick my favorites out of this group.  But if I had to, it would be these.  They are delicate, romantic and the color is fabulous, photos really don't do it justice.  These earrings go with EVERYTHING.
